Block List Edit
The Block Edit screen allows adding and deleting entries in the Block list. The Block list stores domains/addresses that SpamX will always block when Use Blocking is ON unless a specific address from that domain is in the Friends list. Use Blocking can be turned on and off in the Block Edit screen and also in the Configuration screen. The Block list is entirely independent of the email clients Address Book. Domains can be added to the Block list directly from the Check Spam utility and the Block list can also be preloaded from a text file. Use the Block edit screen if you need to enter a specific address to block (like someone you used to like that has now become obnoxious) or to block an entire domain known for spamming. Blocking specific address rarely, if ever, does anything to limit true spam since spammers change return addresses faster than the speed of their smell. That's OK, though, SpamX takes care of that part for you.

USAGE NOTES:
Addresses in the Friends list override domains in the Block list - This allows you to block an entire domain while still allowing selected mail from that domain to get to your regular inbox.

You DO NOT need to load the Block List with entries for SpamX to stop 99% of all your spam - SpamX doesn't need it - Read on...
Entering data in the Block List is normally NOT REQUIRED for proper SpamX operation. Blocking domains that regularly send spam can speed checking incoming mail, however, as it saves SpamX from performing additional checks on mail from the blocked domain but remember, spammers change forged email addresses and domains all the time so trying to block true spam in this manner is a waste of your time and SpamX already takes care of it for you anyway.  Generally, the block list is only for those very rare cases where a spam, or what you consider to be spam, looks perfectly valid to SpamX.  If it really IS spam and looks valid to SpamX, rest assured that a few reports sent for those spams will shut that spammer down real quick because the spammer is sending directly from their REAL ISP and making no attempt to hide it!
